SUMMARY:Entrepreneurial Workshop: Segmentation and Go To Market Strategy
DESCRIPTION:The first thing to do in new venture creation is to build a deep understanding of the market and customers. We will review how you defined your target market\, developed your segmentation framework\, and review whether your chosen area focus is a good match for a beachhead market based on your own selection criteria – and if not\, how you might pivot to a more favorable beachhead market that you can use as a launchpad to build a scalable business. \nWe will then help you explore how market selection leads to building buyer personas and an associated buying process\, starting with how your economic buyer or end user becomes aware they have a problem\, search for and evaluate a solution\, then make a decision to buy or adopt that solution. We will help you review your awareness generation tactics to check for product-market fit. \nThis session is led by Prof. Gavin Finn\, Professor of the Practice at Tufts University. Hosted by the Derby Entrepreneurship Center (DEC). \nThis Entrepreneurial Workshop Series is part of the Tufts Venture Accelerator. Full time accelerator cohort members will be in-person. Everyone else is welcome to join by Zoom. \nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/segmentation-and-go-to-market-strategy-gavin-finn-tickets-641523041687?aff=oddtdtcreator

SUMMARY:Entrepreneurial Workshop: Business Models and Pricing Strategies
DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, we will explore various ways your venture scan make money through different business models and pricing strategies. We will look at how you can price your offerings in for-profit and non-profit situations\, especially in situations where your economic buyer may not be your end user or beneficiary. \n This session is led by Prof. Elaine Chen\, Cummings Family Professor of the Practice in Entrepreneurship and Director\, Derby Entrepreneurship Center at Tufts. \n Hosted by the Derby Entrepreneurship Center (DEC). \nThis Entrepreneurial Workshop Series is part of the Tufts Venture Accelerator. SUMMARY:Entrepreneurial Workshop: The Science of Sales
DESCRIPTION:Marketing isn’t Sales\, and Sales isn’t Marketing\, but they are both joined at the hip since every product\, every service and job needs to “sold” in order to close any deal. SUMMARY:Entrepreneurial Workshop: Marketing Planning - Branding\, Digital\, Content
DESCRIPTION:When you look at a brand like Patagonia\, or Coca-cola\, or Apple\, you immediately know what they stand for. But it is so much more than just the logo and tag line. Branding starts with thinking about the company’s “why” and how you want to communicate to the world. Once you get that sorted\, the rest would follow: The logo (including a glyph and a word mark)\, top level positioning and so forth\, followed by a style guide with details on a color palette and the choice of fonts and typefaces that helps everyone who creates content for you achieve a unified look and feel. Join us in this workshop and hear how we use our accelerator’s own teams as case studies to dive into the actual process of building a brand from the ground up. \nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/marketing-planning-branding-digital-content-tina-weber-tickets-641571616977?aff=oddtdtcreator
