The Cross-University FinTech Hackathon is your chance to find out — no coding or finance background required. \nJoin students from Tufts and universities across the area to tackle a real problem: how can fintech make life easier for college students managing money? You’ll form a team\, brainstorm a solution\, and build it out with guidance from entrepreneurial coaches and subject matter experts who’ll show you how to use AI tools to solve real problems at warp speed— all in just a few hours. By the end of the day\, you’ll pitch your idea to a panel of judges and fellow participants for a shot at cool snacks and swag. \nStick around afterward for a large cross-university Student Innovators Mixer — the perfect chance to keep the energy going\, meet founders and innovators from other schools\, and expand your network beyond the hackathon. \nThis event is open to Tufts students\, alumni\, faculty\, and staff\, as well as students from other universities in the area. SUMMARY:Jumbos Uncorked: An Evening at Kivelstadt Cellars
DESCRIPTION:Ready for a fun night out? The Tufts Entrepreneurial Network (TEN)\, ’Bos of the Last Decade (BOLD)\, and the Derby Entrepreneurship Center (DEC) invite you to an elegant and relaxed evening in Sonoma. \nOn Saturday\, October 3\, join us at Kivelstadt Cellars\, owned by fellow Tufts alum\, Jordan Kivelstadt\, E04. The evening will begin at 4:30 PM with a wine tasting led by Jordan\, who will guide guests through a curated selection of Kivelstadt Cellars wines paired with artisanal cheese and charcuterie boards. \nFollowing the tasting\, we’ll gather on the patio for a family-style dinner and an opportunity to connect with fellow alumni\, professionals in the innovation and technology sectors\, and members of the DEC leadership team. Enjoy a seasonal menu featuring burrata with arugula\, heirloom tomatoes\, balsamic reduction\, and grilled focaccia; citrus-herb marinated flank steak with house-made chimichurri; and sweet potato tacos dorados with guacamole\, salsa\, jalapeños\, and shaved cabbage slaw. \nRegistration is $50 for alumni and guests and $20 for young alumni and guests who graduated in 2026-2017. Your registration includes the wine tasting\, dinner\, Kivelstadt wines throughout the evening\, and non-alcoholic beverages. \nRound trip motorcoach transportation for San Francisco is available for an additional $20 per person and will depart at 3:00 p.m. from San Francisco (SoMa-area) and return to the city at approximately 10:30-11:00 p.m. Space is limited\, so we encourage early registration. Location of the bus pick up will be shared closer to the event date.
