In-person | Hybrid pitching
Our live pitching event is held in-person and on Zoom. We’ll kick off the event in the Main Stage (Room 180) and the associated Zoom link. General Track will stay in Room 180, while the other two tracks will relocate to Rooms 170 and Room 160, each of which will have its own Zoom links.
Teams will present simultaneously in each track. Join our in-person networking or return to the Main Stage’z Zoom Link for a facilitated discussion while judges deliberate.
We’ll then reconvene in the Main Stage (Room 180) and the associated Zoom link for the finalist announcement.

On-line Q&A via Slido for In-Person and Virtual Attendees
In-person and virtual attendees can ask any team a question through an online platform called Slido. Click “Ask a question” on any track. Upvote/downvote existing questions, or ask a new question in this format: “[TEAM NAME] Question”.

- 1:00 pm Doors open at the Main Stage (JCC180) and Main Zoom
- 1:10 pm Welcome and logistics
- 1:20 pm Healthcare and Social Impact tracks move to their respective rooms and zoom links
- 1:25 pm Track judges are introduced within their zoom sessions
- 1:30 pm Teams 1-5 present
- 2:30 pm Stretch break
- 2:45 pm Teams 6-10 present
- 3:45 pm Deliberation and Pizza/Networking
- 4:30 pm Announcements
- 5:00 pm Adjourn
Format
- 5 minute live pitch + 5 minute Q&A
- 1-2 presenters
- Entire team joins during Q&A
- When one team is presenting, the next team is on deck ready to go immediately after the first team is done
- Teams will submit slides to DEC ahead of time and DEC will run the slides
- Q&A with audience on Slido only
- Teams MUST stay on time! We will cut the Q&A time if teams go longer than 5 minutes.
- Pro-tip: Judges love it if teams finish pitching early and have more time for Q&A.
