Apply for a summer Entrepreneurial Internship Grant
During the summer, our Entrepreneurial Internship Grant program collaborates with the Career Center to offer a limited number of grants that pays $5,000 per student for a 10-week, 300h+ summer internship through the Career Center Summer Internship Grant Program.
Step 1: Find a job and receive an offer letter.
- Check the eligibility requirements on the “For Employers” page to ensure your employer is eligible.
- Check that the internship itself is eligible. Eligible internships must be unpaid or low-paid (less than $1,500). They must be full-time, totaling 300 hours, and completed by August 31.
- Review job listings on this site, on Handshake, or on external platforms. Apply for jobs that fit your interests.
- If you are selected by the employer, make sure you receive an official offer letter. This is required for the next step.
Step 2: Apply for the “Entrepreneurial Internship Grant” through the Career Center.
- If your employer and the internship both fit criteria, AND you have received an offer letter for an unpaid internship, you can now apply for the specialized “Entrepreneurial Internship Grants” through the career office’s Summer Internship Grant program. Make sure you check the box!
- Successful candidates provide thoughtful answers to the application where it comes to previous experience, interest in the job and more.
Step 3: Confirm acceptance and start date
- If you are selected by the Career Center to receive a summer internship grant, please confirm your acceptance of the internship grant with the Career Center.
- Confirm acceptance and start date with your employer.
- Follow Career Center instructions for orientation and follow-up.
