Holly Tarnower is a Teaching Artist and Educational Consultant from Boston MA. Her teaching philosophy centers around multiple intelligence theory and creating community in the classroom. Tarnower received her MA in Theater Education from Emerson College and MFA in Applied Theater. In addition to teaching at Tufts, Tarnower has been an affiliated faculty member in Emerson’s Performing Arts and Comedic Arts Departments since 2017. She has worked as a teaching artist with several schools and organizations throughout the Boston area, including 11 years with Rehearsal for Life (RFL). Over her years with RFL, Tarnower worked as a curriculum designer, lead facilitator, Interim Director of Education and Resident Scholar. Tarnower also designs and facilitates Professional Development workshops and trainings focusing on collaboration, team building, and navigating difficult conversations or complicated situations in the workplace.  Tarnower’s research focuses on Anti-Racist Pedagogy and the benefits of improvisation and forum theater on Social Emotional Learning competencies.
