Matt Whitney


Matt Whitney serves as CEO of Siegel Ingredients, a private equity backed bakery ingredient distribution business serving foodservice and food manufacturing customers from Maine to New York. Prior to joining Siegel, Matt served as Chief Growth Officer for United Natural Foods (UNFI), where he founded the Office of Innovation, and led the company’s e-commerce business and the professional services division. Prior to joining UNFI, Matt spent 8 years with Sysco, where he led strategy, served as EVP of a $1BN division, and oversaw diligence and integration planning for the proposed acquisition of USFoods. Matt has a Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University (go Jumbos!) and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He lives in the greater Boston area with his wife, 3 kids, and a rescue dog named Moose.
