Kimberly Martin, FG23, is a Presidential Management Fellow currently serving as a Human Resources Specialist for the Office of Executive Resources during her first federal agency tour. She supports the Biden-Harris administration through the development, coordination, and oversight of the Executive Resources Operation, providing the full scope of policy, program, and service support for the Senior Executive Services (SES), Senior Leaders (SL), and political appointments. Her second federal agency assignment will be with the U.S. Department of State in the Office of Global Women’s Issues.
Kimberly Martin and Ashira Pelt were the 2022 Tufts 100k Social Impact Winners for Active Heirs. She is the co-founder of Active Heirs, a non-profit that empowers black heirs property owners in the U.S. by strengthening family cohesion and providing families with resources and partnerships to build generational wealth. Active Heirs implements a 12-month curriculum, engaging families in bi-weekly meetings to build their legal knowledge base, strengthen their business acumen, create tools to address intergenerational trauma, and connect with a broader network of black heirs property owners.
Kimberly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in International Relations from Shaw University, as well as a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts, where her focus areas were Gender Analysis and Business for Social Impact.
