Melissa is the Owner and CEO of Merry Go Rounds, a children’s consignment business that makes shopping for, and reselling, kids’ goods more sustainable, affordable, and fun.
Merry Go Rounds has two brick-and-mortar stores in Massachusetts: Easton (since 1989) and Boston (since 2025), as well as a growing wholesale business. Our goal is to reduce the environmental impact of kids’ goods, normalize secondhand shopping, and keep resources in local communities. We are a certified B Corporation and a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE).
Before taking over Merry Go Rounds from her mom, Beth, Melissa worked for several years in the US and Africa in the international development field. She holds a joint MBA and Master of Environmental Management from Yale School of Management and Yale School of the Environment, and a BA in communication and international studies from Boston College. She lives in Boston, MA.
