Nancy Karp graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Communications, a major in Advertising and Sociology and a minor in Marketing. Her career began in advertising at BBDO International as an account executive for Chrysler Corporation. She spent five years with Federated Department stores as a Public Relations Director for Macy’s East stores while working on events, such as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the 4th of July Fireworks, and with a myriad of celebrities since 1997. Nancy served as the managing partner of development and operations at Kobi Karp Architecture and Interior Design, an Internationally recognized Architecture and Interior Design firm known for its unique and leading-edge projects. Nancy oversees strategic innovations that influence communities’ architectural footprints, creating the brand which combines art, design and culture. Her role includes mentorship, marketing, and pro bono projects that foster inclusivity and innovation. Nancy believes social impact is based on the creative side of architecture where leadership, collaboration, vision, and cultural embrace merge with innovation to raise awareness of community values. Nancy has been a member of the Parent Leadership Council of Tufts University for five years and is the parent of a Tufts graduate, Jordan Karp (’18), who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Architectural Studies and Entrepreneurship.
