Rachel Blumenthal began her career at Yves Saint Laurent in PR, Communications and VIP Relations, before launching her first entrepreneurial venture as designer and founder of the fashion jewelry brand Rachel Leigh. The brand was sold in over 500 retailers worldwide ranging from Bergdorf Goodman to Shopbop and created private label lines for Target, American Eagle and J.Crew. After operating the business for 8 years, Rachel Leigh was licensed to GlamHouse.
Rachel entered the tech and start-up community as founder and CEO of Cricket’s Circle, the trusted resource and editorial destination for everything baby and toddler. It was the insights and learnings from the Cricket’s Circle community that inspired Rockets of Awesome. Rockets of Awesome is a DTC vertical kids apparel brand offering both an e-commerce and subscription shopping experience. Rachel acted as the founder and CEO for 7 years until selling and exiting the business in the Spring of 2022.
Rachel graduated Tufts University with a degree in Economics and Political Science. She sits on the board of Heyday and The Good+ Foundation, is an angel investor and advises consumer and tech start-ups. Rachel lives in New York City with her husband Neil and two children.
