Sam Kessel, M.D., M.B.A., is an Associate at Locust Walk, a global investment bank integrating corporate development strategy & execution with capital raising for the life sciences. Prior to Locust Walk, he served as a life sciences consutant at L.E.K. Consulting on a variety of strategic decisions from research and development, mergers and acquisitions and international strategy. He completed his MD/MBA at the University of Virginia and completed one year of residency in internal medicine at UT Austin. He has served as an associate for multiple angel networks performing due diligence on medical startups part-time for the past 3 years and across dozens of startups.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Tufts University, an M.D. from the University of Virginia’s School of Medicine, and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
