Tufts University's sixth annual conference celebrating women and non-binary individuals in technology, IN PERSON!
Supported by Tufts Women in Computer Science and Tufts Department of Computer Science
Women in Tech 2022 is Tufts University's fifth annual conference celebrating women and non-binary individuals in technology. For the first time since 2019, we will hold our conference in person at Tufts University!
WiT strives to foster community amongst women and non-binary individuals by spotlighting intersectional identities. Our collegiate conference allows attendees to widen their horizons through workshops, talks, and panels about different fields within tech. We aim to provide students with a network of professionals and prepare them for upcoming recruiting events, such as the Tufts Career Fair and GHC.
While our primary goal is to celebrate women in technology, we are open to all genders and strive to foster a safe space for all individuals who come from historically excluded groups in tech, such as LGBTQ+ individuals and people of color. We strongly encourage anyone of a marginalized group in tech, woman or not, to attend our conference and take advantage of our various resources.
We cannot opt out of discussing social justice when considering diversity in tech. As a conference highlighting the importance of equity and inclusion, WiT stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. We know that many companies still have work to do when it comes to addressing systemic racism, but this work begins with us as well. WiT will not be working with any individuals or organizations that contribute to police brutality or the military industrial complex. We do not condone bigotry or injustice in any form.
Tufts WiT 2022 is proudly produced by Tufts Women in Computer Science.

One of the most important elements of an entrepreneurial mindset is to be creative, to stay in the moment and be 100% present, to embrace not being perfect, and to optimize speed over perfection and quantity over quality in many situations. Our 3rd Annual Black Women's Empowerment Conference is a two-day in-person event scheduled for March 10-11th, 2023, and is open and free to all Black women and femme undergraduate and graduate students in the Boston metropolitan area.
Have you noticed that Black women all over are (re)gaining consciousness around our own power? There’s a liberatory shift occurring everywhere: within the culture, throughout the arts, in the political realm, and so on. This year’s 3rd Annual Black Women’s Empowerment Conference (BWEC) seeks to recognize that shift and bring Black women together to conjure forward that reawakened spirit. This year’s theme, Rise, Reawaken, Rediscover: A Black Woman's Renaissance, acknowledges that revolutionary mood becoming alive again, as well as positions Black women at the frontier of that change. As a Planning Committee, we operate within Black feminist practices and wish to imbue them into the Conference. The BWEC is open and free to all people who identify as Black women undergraduates and graduates. We hope to build a Conference that emboldens you to be you.

Join us for a virtual Keynote Debate as leading industry experts discuss the potential impact of AI on leadership and work.
With AI (artificial intelligence) automating all kinds of work, to what extent will it reshape the workplace and create a more comfortable future for humanity by creating many new jobs? Or will it instead displace current forms of employment? How will the future of AI impact the way that leaders and managers run organizations, and will it require a reassessment of leadership to meet the new challenges of automation?
Tune in on September 14 as our panel of experts debates this fascinating and topical issue, seeking to answer the question: Will artificial intelligence fundamentally reshape leadership and the workplace? This Keynote Debate is part of ongoing celebrations for the 30th anniversary of Tufts Gordon Institute, as we celebrate our mission to create the next generation of transformational leaders with purpose, equipped with the mindset and skillset to greet the dynamic changes facing our society.

Join us in this project management talk to learn how.

When you look at a brand like Patagonia, or Coca-cola, or Apple, you immediately know what they stand for. But it is so much more than just the logo and tag line. Branding starts with thinking about the company's "why" and how you want to communicate to the world. Once you get that sorted, the rest would follow: The logo (including a glyph and a word mark), top level positioning and so forth, followed by a style guide with details on a color palette and the choice of fonts and typefaces that helps everyone who creates content for you achieve a unified look and feel. Join us in this workshop and hear how we use our accelerator's own teams as case studies to dive into the actual process of building a brand from the ground up.
