The Experts
Christine Gebski, Senior Vice President, Repligen
Christine Gebski joined Repligen in May 2015 and currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Filtration and Chromatography where she oversees the general management and strategy of the Company’s upstream and downstream filtration and chromatography portfolio. Ms. Gebski also manages the Field Applications function within the Company, ensuring strong customer experience. Prior to joining Repligen, Ms. Gebski was head of the Chromatography Business Unit within the Bioproduction Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific. At Thermo Fisher she managed the Global Process Chromatography Applications and R&D functions for ten years. Before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Ms. Gebski was a Process Development Scientist for 15 years in the biotechnology industry, having held positions of increasing responsibility at Genzyme, TKT/Shire and EMD Pharmaceuticals. She has significant experience in downstream process development and engineering, technology transfer and validation across a variety of biological molecule classes and diagnostic reagents.
Michael Orrico, Managing Director, ARMI BioFab Startup Lab
Michael Orrico is the Managing Director of the BioFab Startup Lab, which is a program that was launched through a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, offers newly formed and nearly-formed companies an opportunity to translate biofabrication research toward commercialization. Michael is an experienced executive who has worked in combination of business development and technical roles in med-tech, biotech and consulting industries. He has led projects and organizations tissue engineering and regenerative medicine for over 25 years including the Cryobiology Lab at MIT, AxoGen, and Aastrom Biosciences (now Vericel).
Christian Uhrich, Principal, M Ventures
Christian Uhrich joined M Ventures in August 2019 as Head of Strategy, and is currently a Principal in the Biotechnology team. Previously, he worked at Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany as a Senior Consultant in its in-house Consulting practice where he focused on impactful strategy related projects across all three business sectors of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany (Healthcare, Life Science, Electronics). Before joining Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, Christian has spent over ten years in the external consulting space, previously working for Accenture in its Strategy practice where he successfully consulted key Pharma and Biotech industry players on strategic challenges and management decisions in the areas of business and digital strategy, R&D, marketing & sales, organizational development, and post-merger integration & carve-outs.
